Frequently asked questions

Your questions, answered.

How soon after a stroke should rehabilitation start?

Rehabilitation usually works best when it starts as soon as your medical team says it is safe. People can still make meaningful progress months or even years later, so it is never too late to ask.

Do I need a doctor’s referral?

No. You can book an assessment directly. If you have reports or a referral from your doctor, please bring them — they help us understand your history.

How long is the first session?

Your first assessment usually takes 45–60 minutes. Follow-up sessions are typically shorter and depend on your plan.

Do you offer home visits in my area?

We offer home physiotherapy across our service area. Choose “Home visit” when you book and we’ll confirm availability for your location.

Can family members be involved?

Yes. Family members are welcome to join sessions, and we often show them how to support exercises and daily activities at home.
